Hi,

I was asking if you could change the language with the version you have here : https://github.com/Tarzan1984/pyromaths

Regards.

I still don't understand.
I've downloaded version from 2.10.2105 from http://pyromaths.org/ and installed on my ubuntu. In this new version I can't change language on Polish.
I can't make change beacuse I'm only translator. I can't find option for changing language in program. There isn't any such option in interface.

Hi Rafa,

Have you translated the file with extension * .po?
Because I do not find that file in https://github.com/Tarzan1984/pyromaths and is the key for translation.

Cheers

Hi
I don't remember. All files are gone because I've reinstalled my Ubuntu, and I have no idea what I have translated and what I haven't translated.
Can you send me missing files? I can translate it and send you back or upload on Github. In the second case I will need some help with uploading :)

Hey Rafal,

you have lost everything ? :(
On the GitHub fork https://github.com/Tarzan1984/pyromaths there is none of your translation. So I don't think we have any polish translation for Pyromaths.

What is to do is to complete the locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES/pyromaths.po using poedit
sudo apt-get install poedit
and then compile this file to locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES/pyromaths.mo using the file menu of poedit.

To see what you have done, you can launch pyromaths using
LANGUAGE=pl python src/pyromaths.py

Kuato,

I've started to import your work in the locale directory.
Would you agree to continue with it ?

Bye.

Ok.

Sow my work was for nothing :/ Ok. I have a questions:
1. What I have to download? Which version of pyromaths?
2. Which version of Poedit I need?
3. I need full instruction of Github. Step by step. Something short.

I"m not programmer. I'm only math teacher. Every translation from french is horrible for me because I don't understand anything. I'm translating very careful and it takes for me very much time. And now I have to do everything again :/ I don't want to work with Github. Can I translate some files and send it to someone?

By the way, it follows that I wasted hole 7 days for translation which doesn't exist? I asked about help on polish forum here https://forum.4programmers.net/Inne/255 ... iu?start=0

I'm trying to understand. I've installed Poedit but I don't know how can I get this file locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES/pyromaths.mo
Do I have to download whole pyromaths source or only this file?
How I can upload on github? What is missing in my fork. Like I was saying I've done everything like that https://forum.4programmers.net/Inne/255 ... u?start=20

Thank you Kuato. :)

Rafal, tou may need to follow those steps :
  1. Get the source and go to developp branch
    git clone https://github.com/Pyromaths/pyromaths.git
    git checkout developp
  2. Next time, get the last version of the source code :
    git pull
  3. Edit the locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES/pyromaths.po using poedit or any text editor.
  4. Build the pyromaths.mo file, using the command line :
    msgfmt -o pyromaths.mo pyromaths.po
or the command "Skompiluj do MO..." from the "Plik" menu in poedit.
  5. Test your work
    LANGUAGE=pl python src/pyromaths.py
  6. Push your changes to the GitHub server
    git add locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES/pyromaths.po locale/pl/LC_MESSAGES/pyromaths.mo
    git commit
    git push
All the git commands must be done from the root directory of pyromaths.

Hope this will help

The directory which contains all files from git.
In this directory, you can see following files :

AUTHORS
COPYING
data/
debian/
Doc/
LICENSE
locale/
Makefile
NEWS
PKG-INFO
pyromaths
README
README.md
setup.cfg
setup.py
src/
test/
utils/

Salut Arnaud :)
je me demandais si c'était vraiment utile. Car à part les développeurs, est-ce qu'un utilisateur français aura envie de créer des exercices en polonais ?
Bon après, c'est vrai que ça ne coûte pas grand chose d'ajouter l'accès à ce genre d'option.

I want to translate program at first. Then I want to translate exercises and build a base of exercices for polish teacher. But first I want to make polish interface :)
